Cripps dominates Kent legal tables

31 Jan 2023

Cripps continues to be the dominant law firm in Kent, according to this year’s Kent Legal Sector Review.

The data used in the review comes from two highly-respected annual legal directories, Chambers and the Legal 500. Recognising the methodology behind the rankings is different in each of these directories, Kent Business combines them together to ascertain the best law firms in Kent in four specific practice areas.

Cripps has been ranked in first place for all four practice areas this year. In corporate and commercial law, the review recognises the increasing number of instructions from large corporate clients, the firm’s cross-border work and its growing reputation in private equity. In dispute resolution, its well-regarded commercial disputes team is highlighted, and in real estate Cripps’ public sector and agricultural work is noted. Cripps also ranks top for private client and charities, with its work for members of the aristocracy, high-net-worth individuals, celebrities and politicians referenced in the write-up.

Gavin Tyler, managing partner, commented: “We are really pleased to continue to be positioned at the top of Kent’s league tables. Although we are the largest firm in Kent, this counts for nothing if we do not deliver the highest quality service Our people are committed to doing this, and we are proud of the lasting relationships we build with our clients.

Results from independent guides like Chambers and Legal 500 are so important, as they demonstrate how our clients feel about the service we are providing. We are delighted to see these results improving year-on-year and that we continue to meet, and in many cases exceed, our clients expectations.”
