National and regional expertise bring Cripps top spot31 January, 2017
The Kent Legal Sector Review 2017 has again rated Cripps the county’s ‘runaway’ market leader.
Published by the Kent Messenger Group, the annual review rates the performance of the county’s law firms across all major services and ranks them based on scores from Chambers and the Legal 500 – the two most authoritative guides to the legal profession.
Overall, Cripps has retained its dominant spot in a comparison of Kent’s best-performing law firms and is described as “way ahead of its nearest competitors”.
The review additionally looks at national rankings given to those Kent firms that are regarded as leading legal practices nationally. When these statistics are taken into account, Cripps is again at the top of the table.
Also positioned in first place for real estate and public sector, the commentary highlights the firm’s expertise in health, environmental law and local government stating: “It is this breadth of specialisms which enables Cripps to dominate this table”.
“Yet again, Kent has a runaway legal market leader,” the review concludes.
“This is a fantastic achievement, with us retaining first place in four out of the five tables in which we are ranked,” said Gavin Tyler, Cripps’ managing partner. “These results continue to reinforce our reputation as a leading firm not only regionally, but also competing on a national scale.”
The guide also features an introduction from Christina Blacklaws, the chief operating officer at Cripps, in her role as deputy vice-president of the Law Society of England and Wales. She speaks passionately about the deep commitment solicitors have for social justice and rights, the contribution they make to their local communities and also explores a wide range of professional topics including client service, new technology and innovation.
