The Cripps vacation scheme
We run a summer vacation scheme each year. We have designed our scheme to make it as useful as possible to undergraduates. There will be a chance to meet staff working in different legal roles and teams, get to know about the types of clients we work with as well as participating in research designed to extend your knowledge of the law in the context of a commercial law firm.
Work placement opportunities under our vacation scheme is only available at our offices in Tunbridge Wells. The placement is full time and runs for a two week consecutive period during summer.
During the two weeks you will:
- Work in at least three distinct practice areas / experience three “mini-seats” within the firm
- Work closely with our trainee solicitors, associates and partners for the duration of your two week placement which will give you a good overview of how a law firm operates
- At the end of the period students will undertake a research task and complete project work to present to a panel
- Meet our Business Services teams (Client Services, Marketing, Finance and HR) in order to gain a wider understanding about the running of a law firm
We’d like to hear from you if you are a second or third-year undergraduate or currently studying the GDL and keen to benefit from the opportunity of a two week work experience placement during the Summer. Placements are limited, so we look for candidates with excellent academics, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to a client centric approach to the law.
