MTR Group joins Exertis UK to help fuel expansion
MTR Group, one of the country’s fastest growing companies focused on extending the lifecycle of mobiles, wearables and tablet devices, has been sold, with the help of South East law firm Cripps.
The company has been bought by Exertis UK, which is one of Europe’s largest and fastest growing technology distribution and specialist service providers.
Based in Essex, MTR offers a complete repair and refurbishment process through to the environmentally friendly disposal of mobile devices. Working with manufacturers, insurance companies, mobile networks and retailers, both in the UK and abroad, MTR’s 2nd Lifecycle Solutions extend the life of used mobiles and tablets, maximising the recovery of unwanted devices.
The sale, which was led by Cripps partner Nigel Stanford and assisted by Helen Garner, Elliot Fry, Rhona Darbyshire, Helen Welsh and Aleks Wulff, involved a multidisciplinary team including corporate, commercial, real estate and employment experts. Cripps advised the sellers on both the sale of their shares in MTR Group and on their future employment arrangements.
