Join us at BAFTA for an evening of great food, drinks and conversation

16 May 2022

For the first time in several years, we’re delighted to bring together clients and friends at London’s prestigious BAFTA on Piccadilly, to discuss the topic: success, failure and making a positive difference.

Our guest speaker for the evening is Oliver Plunkett, CEO of Ocean Infinity, who participated in the recent discovery of Shackleton’s Endurance. Oliver, who despite knowing little about ocean exploration or robots a few years ago, has built a world-leading marine robotics business and has ripped up the rule book, disrupting a traditional industry while placing environmental and social responsibilities at the heart of his business.

Join our host, Mike Scott, Senior Partner at Cripps, for an entertaining conversation full of personal insights, anecdotes and advice, followed by a drinks reception, where you will enjoy food created by in-house Executive Chef Anton Manganaro.

About Oliver Plunkett

Having achieved remarkably average results throughout his education, Ollie began his working life in the pursuit of justice whilst dressed in an 18th century costume. After several fascinating years at the criminal Bar his wife, when his second son was born, thought it was time for him to move on from this impoverished hobby lifestyle and get a proper job. That took him to PwC and from there on to one of his clients in the investment management industry. All of this history being the logical and obvious body of experience and knowledge for his current position as CEO of one of the world’s most advanced maritime technology companies where, amongst other things, he has played a part in the most significant ocean search projects of the last 10 years: MH370, ARA San Juan and Shackleton’s Endurance to name a few.
