I’m a specialist employment and data protection lawyer with more than 22 years’ experience, advising businesses and individuals on the full range of workplace issues.

I work across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including TUPE (and insolvency-related transfers), unfair dismissal and discrimination claims. I support employers through Employment Tribunal proceedings, as well as working day-to-day with HR teams to manage risk, resolve issues early and keep things on track.

Alongside my employment work, I advise on data protection, helping organisations handle employee data in a way that’s practical, compliant and proportionate.

I have particular experience supporting clients in the automotive, construction, food manufacture and leisure sectors.

I also deliver in-house training, giving clients the confidence to deal with issues before they escalate. I provide regular employment law updates to in-house counsel through Vlogs, webinars and live sessions in association with LexisNexis and Flex Legal. I am a regular speaker at The Motor Ombudsman’s Annual Automotive Business and Law Event.

I’m fluent in Portuguese, I have good knowledge of Spanish and basic knowledge of French.

My experience

Drafted long-term retention plan for music technology company.

Advised on internal investigation into impact of employer’s processes on employees with neurodivergent conditions, following allegations of discrimination.

Advised on managing long-term absence of employee who suffered an accident at work, including liaising with insurers and criminal defence lawyers and managing lawful termination.

Advised on removal of Chief Executive accused of harassment, bullying and discrimination.

Prepared and delivered bespoke training on diversity, inclusion and duty to prevent sexual harassment to senior leadership team and middle management of large dealership group.

Supported cross-border executive team on handling sensitive investigation into allegations of harassment, bullying and discrimination at senior leadership level and negotiated exit package.
