I’m a partner in the commercial dispute resolution, and restructuring and insolvency teams, providing robust and practical advice to help resolve commercial disputes.
I have over 20 years’ experience handling a wide range of business finance, insolvency and commercial contract disputes.
I have established a niche and loyal practice in the asset-based lending and invoice finance sector, dealing with high value and complex disputes which often involve fraud, freezing assets and enforcing securities to recover sums for lenders.
I also advise on contentious insolvency matters, acting for the administrators, liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy – prosecuting both company and office holder claims to recover funds for creditors.

William Angas in particular has shown himself to be the epitome of a good solicitor. He takes a very personal interest in the issues without losing sight of the core objectives and practical realities. I am grateful to have him on my team. I should also give mention to Tiffany Anderson who has been excellent at keeping matters on track, supporting Will and adhering to all time constraints up to the last minute. Attention to detail and efficiency like this is a rapidly disappearing commodity and I commend her for her efforts.

I am indebted to Will, Justin, and all the team, as well as my barrister, James Knott of 4 Stone Buildings Chambers and Tony Murphy of Harrisons Business Recovery, for their hard work and expert guidance. The firm responded to the application at very short notice and I was impressed how they left no stone unturned and put my response in a manner which the Judge obviously found very compelling.
Will Angas and his team have acted for me on several occasions when we have successfully recovered payments from directors or third parties which related to unlawful actions permitted by the directors prior to my appointment. Will's energy and commitment to these cases was exceptional and has resulted in significant recoveries to the benefit of the insolvent companies' creditors. In many of these cases, Will's sharp, commercial approach and strong, technical ability has resulted in settlement without the need to commence formal legal proceedings therefore reducing the risk and potential expense to the insolvent estate. I look forward to working with Will and his team on future matters.

I was appointed Joint Administrator of Toys “R” Us Limited in February this year. I instructed this firm to help me recover large, disputed balances owed by trade vendors based in the UK, USA and Asia. The claims and underlying vendor agreements were contractually complex, with international dimensions, and were often heavily disputed by well-resourced toy manufacturers. Will, Justin and their recoveries team were commercial, responsive and successfully negotiated substantial recoveries from vendors – to date - in excess of six-figures for the benefit of creditors.
