Cripps advises management team on MBO of WW Martin
Cripps has advised the management team of WW Martin, a leading construction contractor based in Kent, on their management buy-out of the business. Cripps acted for the newly incorporated buyer, owned by a number of WW Martin’s existing directors, minority shareholders and members of its senior management.
The team was led by Julie Hughes and assisted by Beth Barns-Graham, Meg Harold and Francesca Harrison, working closely with Girlings, long-standing advisers to the outgoing sellers.
David Barker, director at WW Martin, commented:
“Cripps provided invaluable support throughout the buy-out process. Their clear, practical advice helped us understand the legal complexities and gave us confidence in the decisions we were making.
Julie Hughes, Partner at Cripps, said:
“It was a real pleasure getting to know David, Trevor and the MBO team, and to play a part alongside Girlings and Kreston Reeves in delivering completion of the MBO within the desired timeframe. The collaborative effort between all advisers was key to ensuring the transaction completed smoothly and we look forward to seeing this successful Kent business continue to thrive and grow under the MBO team’s ownership.”
