Property Perspectives – October 2026

30 Oct 2026

Are we taking a long enough view of real estate?

This month’s Property Perspectives brings together a diverse range of issues, but there is a common thread running through them: the value of taking a long-term, joined-up approach to the places we create, invest in and manage.

Our reflections from our Evolving Estates event explore how stewardship, identity and a shared vision can shape successful urban estates over generations. Our Future Estates get together considered what this means for landed estates and the forward view.

There is a similar long-term lens to the other issues we explore this month. From climate resilience and the changing risks facing modern buildings to governance, technology and security, good estate management increasingly means understanding how decisions made in one area affect another.

Against this backdrop, the muted Budget raises a wider question: does it offer the long-term vision and joined-up thinking needed to stimulate growth and give the real estate sector greater confidence, or has it fallen short? Time will tell.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss how these changes may affect your portfolio, please get in touch with our business development manager, Charlotte Davidson.
