Double success for Cripps at South East Dealmakers Awards
Cripps continues to cement its place as the leading law firm in the South East for corporate work, winning two awards at last night’s Insider Media South East Dealmakers awards.
Beating off stiff competition from regional competitors, Cripps won the Corporate Law Firm of the Year award for the second time in the last 3 years. Cripps also picked up the award for Deal of the Year (under £10m), for its work advising East Kent College on the acquisition of Hadlow, West Kent and Ashford Colleges.
Run by Insider Media, the awards celebrate the achievements of the region’s leading mergers and acquisitions professionals, as well as the work of corporate finance professionals, accountants, bankers and funders.
Julie Hughes, partner and head of the corporate transactions team, commented: “In what has been a challenging and eventful year, we are delighted to be recognised by Insider Media in these awards. The team has worked tirelessly to go above and beyond for our clients to achieve their objectives. This was demonstrated earlier this year when we completed a record eleven deals in eleven days for our clients. Receiving recognition like this reflects the dedication and hard work of our team over the last 18 months.”
Cripps were also shortlisted for:
- Corporate lawyer of the year (Salim Somjee)
- Private equity/venture capital deal of the year (Sale of E-Cloth Ltd to E-Cloth LLC, backed by Camano Capital)
- Transaction services team of the year
