Legal 500 2023: Cripps strengthens its position in the South East

30 Sep 2022

Cripps remains one of the South East’s foremost law firms for corporate, private client and real estate work, according to industry guide, The Legal 500.

Regarded as one of the leading guides for the profession, The Legal 500 analyses the capabilities of law firms with a comprehensive research programme capturing feedback from clients. Law firms are then ranked according to their achievements over the previous year.

In the newly released 2023 edition, the guide has ranked Cripps in the top tier for 15 of its practice areas in the South East, and recommended in a further four areas. In London, the firm is ranked in eight practice areas, including a new ranking in the ‘employment (senior executives)’ category.

The firm’s corporate and commercial team is described as ‘flexible’ and ‘hard-working’ with ‘vast knowledge and expertise,’ while the employment team is considered ‘commercially minded’ with a ‘very human approach.’ Meanwhile, Cripps’ multidisciplinary commercial property practice is commended for its specialist knowledge and receptiveness to new challenges, ‘adopting a well-structured approach to each project’.

In private client, the family team, which was recently shortlisted for a LexisNexis Family Law Award, was recognised for its ‘professional and caring’ approach to advising high-net-worth clients. Likewise, the firm’s private wealth practitioners were consistently praised for combining expertise with an ‘unstuffy’ personable approach.

In addition, 17 lawyers have ranked in the elite ‘leading individual’ category, alongside seven ‘next generation partners’ and four ‘rising stars’. Kerry Glanville, partner and head of residential estates, retains her place in the ‘hall of fame’.
