Cripps has advised the shareholders of Active Management Solutions (6) Limited on the sale of their self storage facility in Sidcup to Cinch Storage.

Cinch Storage is backed by Padlock Partners UK Fund IV, an investment trust that focuses on acquiring income-generating commercial real estate properties in the UK, particularly self-storage facilities. It operates circa 20 sites in the UK.

Active Management Solutions (6) was set up by Robert Cherry and James Hancock and operated by Titan Self Storage under a management contract.  Titan Self Storage also operate another nine self storage units across the UK.

Cripps, supported by Levy Real Estate, provided legal advice on both the corporate and property aspects of the transaction. The Cripps’ team included John Kirkwood, Lorraine Reynolds and Anna Drapper (corporate), Rachel Holdaway, Summer Gibb and Mollie Wilson (real estate).

John commented: “This was an interesting transaction for the Cripps’ team to work on and a great example of where our experience in the self-storage sector really comes into its own. With circa 120 shareholders, the project involved detailed negotiations and a big team effort including working closely with Levy Real Estate to reach a successful conclusion..”

Rob Cherry at Active Management Solutions, said: “Thank you to the Cripps’ team for their advice and expertise in navigating this complex transaction. Their guidance throughout the process, including managing communications with our sizeable shareholder base was invaluable.
