Cripps advises the shareholders of Sustainable Aviation Futures on its sale to Montgomery Group
Cripps has advised the shareholders of Sustainable Aviation Futures, a specialist events business focused on accelerating the transition to sustainable aviation, on its acquisition by Montgomery Group, a global events and exhibitions business.
The acquisition supports Montgomery Group’s strategic growth in high‑impact, sustainability‑led aviation events, while enabling Sustainable Aviation Futures to scale its flagship forum within a wider international platform.
Cripps acted for the sellers throughout the transaction, supporting and advising on all legal aspects of the sale process, including transaction structuring, negotiations, due diligence and completion. The team worked closely with management, alongside Fusion as M&A advisers.
The Cripps team was led by Julie Hughes, with support from Alexander Bishop, Andreea Rusu, Lawrence Moran and Anna Drapper.
Jamie Dowswell, Managing Director of Sustainable Aviation Futures, commented:
“We engaged Cripps to assist with closing the sale of our events business. Their team was professional, responsive, friendly, and consistently clear in explaining each stage of the process. They handled negotiations and due diligence with confidence, ensuring our interests were protected while keeping everything moving forward smoothly. What could have been a complex and stressful transaction felt well‑managed from start to finish.”
Nadim Chaudhry, Co-founder of Sustainable Aviation Futures, added:
“Cripps again went above and beyond to help navigate what can sometimes be a challenging process.”
Cripps is delighted to have supported the shareholders of Sustainable Aviation Futures through this important milestone, reflecting the firm’s experience advising growth‑focused businesses on strategic exits.
