Cripps advise global specialty chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan on its acquisition of 4PLAS
Cripps’ corporate team has advised Safic-Alcan UK Limited, the UK subsidiary company of Safic-Alcan Group, on its acquisition of 4Plas Ltd.
Safic-Alcan is a global distributor of specialty chemicals that offers direct access to a large and diverse portfolio of products. Founded in 1847 with headquarters in Paris La Défense, the company serves customers in over 60 countries, working with them to deliver innovative solutions while deploying a genuine commitment to quality and sustainability.
Founded in 2003, 4PLAS supplies polymer solutions to the injection moulding industry in the United Kingdom and Ireland. With this acquisition, Safic-Alcan’s UK subsidiary will be strengthened, making it one of the main regions for the group.
The acquisition of 4PLAS is the fifth acquisition in the UK by Safic-Alcan, four of which Cripps have advised on.
The Cripps team advising on the acquisition was led by Olivier Morel and included Laura Wilson, Tom Newlyn, Peter Mayhew (all corporate), Emily Byrom and Emma Saunders (both employment). The team worked closely alongside Mazars acting as accountants.
